BUILD. CREATE. LEGO.

"Play is one of the most important aspects of children’s upbringing. From the very early years throughout adolescence and into adulthood, play nurtures and develops the breadth of skills that enable us to be powerful agents of our own lives and positive contributors to our communities."
-The LEGO Foundation

Give your LEGO bricks a new home! Donate your much-loved new or used LEGOs to our learners who love LEGOs too! Our goal is to have 1,000,000 LEGO pieces in our Makerspace LEGO area for use by all learners. You can help us reach our goal by donating any number of LEGO pieces. Simply box up or bag your used LEGOs and drop them off at the school office. If you choose to purchase LEGOs, these are some suggested pieces that can be used universally across any project. We can accept new or used either in sets or loose pieces. Any sets donated will most likely be separated out into individual pieces. To ensure maximum compatibility we can only accept LEGO brand pieces.

MAKING

"To define a school makerspace by its purpose and simplest of terms, it is a place where young people have an opportunity to explore their own interests; learn to use tools and materials, both physical and virtual; and develop creative projects"

-Laura Flemming

Worlds of Making

"Making is fundamental to what it means to be human. We must make, create and express ourselves to feel whole. There is something unique about making physical things. These things are like little pieces of us and seem to embody portions of our souls"

-Mark Hatch
